What is a fat injection?

Fat injection; The removal of adipose tissue with a needle from fatty areas of the body, such as from the abdomen, thighs, buttocks and then the removed adipose tissue comes through special interventions, whereby it can now be injected under the skin in the required areas, which is known as fat injection.

In which areas is fat most commonly used?

The fat is most often used to fill the sagging cheeks, laugh lines between the mouth and nose, to remove slack and irregularities in the skin, to get rid of the forehead lines and fill the lips or to correct contour irregularities in the body.

How is fat removed and injected?

Local or general anesthesia depends on the amount of fat to be taken. Fat is removed from the specified areas by applying a vacuum with the injector. The extracted fats are floated freely in the syringe and kept for the separation of serum and fat cells. Then it is removed from the middle area, where there are more fat cells, with small injectors and injected into the area to be transported.

What are the needles for taking and injecting the fat?

For facial injections, 2.4 mm needles can be used to remove fat, while 0.7 mm, 0.9 mm and 1.2 mm injection tips can be used depending on the facial areas.
For the injections to be performed on the body, the cannulas used for fat removal should be 3.1 mm and the cannulas used for injection 1.2 mm and 1.6 mm.

Are fat injections permanent?

The viability rate of fat cells in the transferred region is considered to be 50%. In other words, half of the injected fat is permanent. Therefore, fat injection is a method that should be considered and used in two sessions to get a sufficient amount of permanent fullness. The effect achieved after 2 sessions remains lasting for years. There should be at least 4 or 6 months between sessions.

In which layers is the fat injected?

How long does the healing phase after the fat injection last?

If the fat injection area is large, it is sufficient to rest for 2-3 days. However, you can return to normal everyday life after a day after treatment, especially because the areas where the face is treated are small areas. Both in the area of fat removal and administration, there may be slight swelling and a slight bruise. However, these are problems that can be easily hidden using the application of concealers. You have to bow down to the sun for a week.
